Volunteers

Volunteers hard at workNTHT is composed entirely of volunteers. A few volunteers have worked in this industry; most have not. Some have skills such as electrical, woodworking, upholstery restoration, glass refinishing, or in other specialties such as mechanics or machinists. All of us learn on the job.

If you would like to volunteer or find out more, ask any of our volunteers or contact Gabby Garbarino at Volunteer@NorthTexasTransport.org . They can tell you about our current projects. Visit our “Volunteers in Action” pictures to see the many faces of our volunteers.

We are always in the process of restoring pieces of equipment. Through Tuesday is “Volunteer Day”; volunteers can work at any time.

The museum would like to acknowledge the great number of volunteers who, over the years, have donated a significant amount of time to the restoration and preservation of our equipment and artifacts. Their efforts are critical and essential to our collections.
